Young Elephants will play in the FUFA Big League for the 2023/2024 season after the FUFA Competitions and Disciplinary Committee ruled in their favour following their contested qualification match against Kochi Urban.
In a document signed by the Chairman of FUFA Competitions and Disciplinary Committee, Deo Mutabazi, Kochi Urban lost the match by forfeiture.
The two Regional League sides were involved in a second-leg promotional match on June 18th at Anaka Playgrounds, Nwoya, after Kochi Urban had won the first leg 1-0.

Summarily, the match was abandoned, and on appeal, FUFA made the final decision.
The decision means Nwoya-based Young Elephants join Mbale Heroes FC, Kiyinda Boys FC and Kigezi Home Boys FC to the FUFA Big League from the FUFA Regional League.
