Nigerian legend Vincent Enyeama has taken to social media to celebrate his son Godswill's promotion to the Lille U18 squad.

The former Super Eagles goalkeeper, who spent a successful seven-year stint with the French club, is beaming with pride as his son dons the famous Lille, who just developed Manchester United-bound Leny Yoro dubbed new Van Dijk.

Enyeama, who made 143 league appearances for Lille and earned 101 caps for Nigeria, played a pivotal role in the Super Eagles' triumph at the 2013 African Cup of Nations.

Now, it seems the baton is being passed to the next generation, with Godswill, who displayed remarkable reflex in one of the videos, following in his father's footsteps.

"God is the greatest. Home sweet home. Back home in a different skin #losc #prouddaddy❤️ #younggoalie" the 41-year-old shared on his social media platforms, alongside a video of Godswill in action.

But the Enyeama family's influence at Lille doesn't stop there. In a related development, the French club have also secured the signing of highly-rated Nigerian prospect Adeshina Ibrahim Ayodele from the esteemed Beyond Limits Football Academy in Ikenne.

The 18-year-old, born in 2006, has been the subject of intense interest from several top European clubs, including Belgian giants Anderlecht and teams in the Netherlands.

However, Lille have managed to fend off the competition and bring the youngster to the Stade Pierre-Mauroy.

Ayodele will now join Lille's growing contingent of Nigerian stars, which includes the highly-rated striker Victor Osimhen, as well as two legendary Super Eagles players - Osaze Odemwingie and the iconic Vincent Enyeama.

The talented attacker has been making waves in his homeland, playing a pivotal role in Beyond Limits' stunning success last season.

The Nigerian side emerged victorious in every competition they entered, including earning promotion to the prestigious Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) from the lower-tier NNL.

It's clear that the Enyeama family and the Nigerian talent pool continue to leave their mark on the world of football, with Lille firmly positioning themselves as a hub for nurturing the next generation of African superstars.
