UPL Gaddafi eye revenge on Wakiso to maintain the momentum

Gaddafi had gone five games without a win but their 1-0 over Bright Stars pushed them into the top six in the Uganda premier League table. Zungu wants them to maintain the consistency.

Gaddafi’s assistant coach Hassan Zungu has stressed that the team needs consistency if they’re to finish in a respectable place in this season’s Startimes Uganda Premier League.

The Soldier Boys had gone five games without a win since the turn of the year but a 1-0 victory away to Bright Stars ten days ago ended the bad run.Zungu has asked his boys to maintain consistency on Tuesday against Wakiso Giants in Jinja as they seek to cement their place in the top six.

“We’re prepared enough and need to carry on with the winning momentum after winning our previous game,” Zungu stated.

“We have to be consistent in the remaining games. Our problem was scoring because we were creating the chances but failing to convert them,” he added.

The hosts are sixth on the table with 28 points, three places and two points ahead of Wakiso.

The Purple Sharks won the reverse fixture 2-0 courtesy of Shariph Kimbowa and Rahmat Senfuka’s goals.

The two sides have met thrice, with the Wakiso side winning twice at home as Gaddafi claimed the other in Jinja.
