Galatasaray want Osimhen permanently
The Nigerian’s move to Turkey had initially been viewed as a temporary measure before he secured a desired move to any of the top European teams capable of competing in the Champions League every season.
But the Cim-Bom have had a taste of the energetic Nigerian, and they want more. According to multiple reports and public statements from club officials, their primary aim now is to sign the 25-year-old permanently.
The finances required to sign Osimhen last summer put off top European clubs. And although that figure has dropped significantly, the deal is still contingent on a sizable outlay. Hence, a Turkish football expert warned the champions against signing the Nigerian.
Galatasaray have a plan
The reported €70 million release clause worked into Osimhen's latest Napoli contract is significantly higher than Galatasaray's record transfer, the €18 they spent on Gabriel Sara in the summer.
That is an important marker of their financial might. But while they might be unable to match the fee in cash, the Cim-Bom are reportedly prepared to add players as make-weight.
According to a report from Milliyet, per ntvspor, the players in question are Davidson Sanchez, Baris Alper Yilmaz and Yunus Akgun. Galatasaray is said to be prepared to add any of the aforementioned players to the deal, as they identified them as players the Partenopei were already looking for.
