Galatasaray’s Osimhen plan
The Cim-Bom swooped in to save the day after the Nigerian ace failed to get a desired move before the end of the general European transfer window, signing him on a season-long loan.
The 25-year-old has impressed massively, with 14 goal contributions in 14 Super Lig and Europa League matches. Hence, the Turkish champions intend to sign him permanently.
However, Osimhen's release clause is €75 million, and the Napoli leadership have insisted that they will not budge on the price, a fee significantly higher than Galatasaray's €18 million transfer record paid for Brazilian midfielder Gabriel Sara.
Galatasaray plan B
According to Ntvspor, Galatasaray have set their sights on Lyon striker Georges Mikautadze and will make a move for him if their plan to sign Osimhen permanently fails.
The 24-year-old shone in the European championships last summer and secured a move to Lyon from Metz. However, given the French side's financial situation, Galatasaray believe they can pry him out of France.
