The Turkish club have enjoyed Osimhen's impact and hope to add another of Africa's biggest stars to their fold soon
Galatasaray has its sights set on building a formidable attacking lineup by adding Liverpool’s star forward, Mohamed Salah, to play alongside Nigerian sensation Victor Osimhen.
After securing Osimhen on loan, the Istanbul giants are now taking steps to sign him permanently and, in a bold move, have initiated talks to bring Salah to Turkey in what would be one of the club’s biggest transfers ever.
Galatasaray's ambitious move for Salah
Following Osimhen’s electrifying impact since his arrival, Galatasaray is now aiming to add Salah as a key piece of their offensive line-up.
The club has reportedly reached out to Salah’s representatives to express their interest, positioning themselves as a strong contender amid competition from wealthy Saudi Arabian clubs.
With Salah’s contract at Liverpool set to expire soon, Galatasaray is preparing a substantial offer to tempt the Egyptian star to Istanbul.
Galatasaray's proposal reportedly includes a generous salary package for Salah, amounting to $21.5 million annually, which the club intends to fund primarily through sponsorship contributions.
This approach enables the club to shoulder the financial weight of Salah’s high-profile signing while minimising disruption to their wage structure.
Galatasaray plan to secure Osimhen and Salah
Galatasaray is also working diligently to secure Osimhen’s permanent transfer, facing Napoli’s steep $82 million asking price.
To create room in their budget for both Osimhen and Salah, Galatasaray plans to offload some high-salary players, thereby freeing up additional funds to finance the star duo’s potential deals.
With Salah becoming the first player in Europe to hit 10+ goals and assists this season, the Egyptian forward has shown that he still has so much to offer even though he will be 33 years old when his contract expires next summer.
Osimhen has also been a superb investment for Galatasaray this season, having scored eight goals and providing four assists to boot, justifying the Turkish giants’ decision to invest in him, especially in the face of a long-term injury to Mauro Icardi.
Galatasaray will be hoping to secure signings of both players next year, which will make them one of the most fearsome sides in Europe.
