With Mauro Icardi sidelined for the season, coach Omar Buruk has confirmed the club’s interest in strengthening their attack, pairing Dybala with Nigerian star Victor Osimhen.
Buruk eyes secret Dybala deal
During a recent press conference, Galatasaray’s Buruk didn’t shy away from his admiration for Dybala, calling him “a precious player.”
The Galatasaray boss also explained that any potential deal would need to be discreet, adding, “We must do it secretly.”
Dybala, currently under contract with Roma until 2025, has a clause that could extend his stay by an additional year if he meets certain appearance criteria.
While Roma manager Claudio Ranieri has claimed the forward is “happy” in Italy, reports suggest the Giallorossi might entertain offers for key players in January as they navigate financial pressures.
Osimhen-Dybala partnership on the horizon
Should Dybala join, he would line up alongside Nigerian striker Osimhen, who has been in scintillating form for Galatasaray.
The Nigerian forward, who struggled at Napoli last season, has rejuvenated his career in Turkey with 12 goals and five assists in just 15 matches.
Buruk is also keeping tabs on Lyon forward Georges Mikautadze, a forward he has followed for years, as another potential addition to the side.
Pairing Dybala with Osimhen up front could transform Galatasaray’s attack into one of Europe’s most formidable and the Turkish giants appear determined to make the move happen in January.
