Gavi put on a man-of-the-match performance to help Barcelona defeat Real Madrid in the Supercopa de Espana.
Barcelona's manager Xavi was full of praise for his 18-year-old midfielder, Gavi, following his man-of-the-match performance in Barcelona's victory over Real Madrid.
Barcelona won the Supercopa de Espana following a 3-1 victory over rivals Real Madrid in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Sunday night.

Gavi was involved in all three of Barcelona's goals in the Supercopa de Espana. He scored the first goal of the game in the 33rd minute after being put through on goal by Lewandowski. On the brink of half-time, the situation was reversed, and Gavi set up Lewandowski to put Barcelona two goals ahead.
Gavi was again the provider for the third, this time setting up midfield partner Pedri. Benzema grabbed a late consolation goal for Real Madrid, but it was not enough to change the course of the game.
Xavi was full of praise for his diminutive midfielder, and even after saying Gavi made him 'speechless,’ he still found words to qualify the Golden Boy winner.
"Gavi moves us all. He puts a soul, a heart and a character, and at only 18 years old. has no ceiling," Xavi said, per Marca
'We are hurt,' - Ancelotti
The losing manager, Carlo Ancelotti, believes individual errors cost his team. He says he is particularly hurt because losing finals is not something Real Madrid is used to.
"It wasn't a lack of attitude, it was individual errors, a bad game," Ancelotti said after the game, per Marca.
"We are hurt because Real Madrid usually win the finals, and today we lost."
Real Madrid will have another chance to win a trophy in February when they go to Morocco for the Club World
