The 31-year-old is one of the biggest Arab celebrities in the world, and many have called for him to speak for the people of Gaza, who have been on the receiving end of brutal 'retaliatory' attacks from the state of Israel.

Attack on Gaza City hospital
As Pulse Sports reported, the decades-long conflict between Israel and Palestine hit a new crest in the past two weeks and started when several outlets reported a Hamas attack on Israeli communities.
The Hamas belligerents were said to have infiltrated Jewish communities around Israel's border with Gaza, and unverified videos making the rounds on the internet showed alleged Israelis covered in blood, either killed or taken hostage.
Since October 7th, when the attack happened, Israel has laid siege on the Gaza Strip, cutting off its supply of water and electricity. They have also constantly bombed the area, causing an endless list of casualties.

Global outrage towards the violence and brutality that have plagued the region hit new heights yesterday when pictures and videos made the rounds on the internet showing a devastating attack on Gaza's Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital that claimed several lives.
What Mo Salah said
Salah took to social media to release a powerful statement, opting to make a video instead of posting a written speech.
He hinted at the reason for his erstwhile silence, saying it is difficult to speak in such circumstances. He went on to call on world leaders to intervene in the conflict and provide humanitarian aid for the civilian casualties in Gaza.
Salah was on international duty with Egypt in their friendly clashes against Zambia and Algeria. He will next be in action for Liverpool this weekend when they host Everton for the Merseyside Derby.
