There was a scant crowd available for the battle between two West African football giants at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, December 22, 2024.

Nigeria did not make it to the finals of the competition, which is only open to players who play in their home leagues in 2023.
They were stopped by Ghana and now have to go through the same opponent if they are to make it in 2025.
The game in Accra did not have many highlights as head coach Daniel Ogunmodede set up his team in a defensive block to stifle the Ghanaians in front of their home fans.
With very little chances for both sides, the home-based Super Eagles were able to get a goalless draw in the first leg.
They will now have it all to do when they take on Ghana in the return leg.
On Saturday, December 28, the second leg will take place at Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
The winner over two legs victor will receive a ticket to the 8th African Nations Championship, which will be held in Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda from February 1–28, 2025.
