‘Man Utd can still win that league’ - Mourinho on Red Devils chances of winning first EPL since Ferguson’s exit
Former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has spoken on the chances of the Red Devils winning their first Premier League title since Sir Alex Ferguson’s exit.
However, his contract is set to expire at the end of the season, and last season's runner-up in the Turkish Super Lig are intent on keeping him beyond this campaign. However, they have struggled so far to reach an agreement.
Osayi’s contract standoff with Fenerbahce
After an impressive campaign last season, Fenerbahce have worked hard to hand the Nigeria international a renewal, but he has rejected all their proposals so far.
Their latest proposal, according to Turkish publication Fanatik, was €2.5 million annually, which is around €48,000 a week. However, according to the report, Osayi-Samuel wants a €3.5 million salary, which is a little under €70k a week.
As Pulse Sports reported, Premier League teams are circling like sharks, with the likes of Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest seeking to bring him back to England. Fenerbahce are willing to keep trying to reach an agreement but will be forced to sell him in January, should they fail, to avoid losing him for free.
