The Glazer family have reportedly deemed the bids received for Manchester United so far, insufficient and are holding out for a higher fee.
Manchester United owners, the Glazers are seeking a higher sale price for the club than the bids put forward by Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani and Sir Jim Ratcliffe, which were capped at £4.5 billion.
Glazers holding out for £6bn to sell Man United
The official bids from the two interested parties were made less than two weeks ago and the Glazers have considered the offers closely. However, it has been reported by The Guardian that there is a reluctance to part with the club on those terms.
There is also believed to be some hesitance among the Glazer family as all six siblings are reportedly not on the same page regarding a full sale.
The Glazers have set a price point of £6bn but if they strongly wish to sell, there may have to be some compromise and flexibility regarding the figures.
The owners had been adamant about needing to complete a sale by March but that now appears highly unlikely.
Manchester United co-chairman Avram Glazer was spotted at the EFL Cup final on Sunday where the Red Devils defeated Newcastle 2-0 to lift the club's first trophy in six years.
