Nigerian defender Godswill Ekpolo has joined Cyprus first division club Apollon Limassol
Nigerian defender Godswill Ekpolo has completed a move to Apollon Limassol in the Cyprus first division till 2024.
The 27-year-old joins on a one-and-half-year contract from Swedish side Norrkoping where he played for a year before attracting interest from Apollon.
Apollon Limassol confirmed the move through their official Twitter account and also on the website, welcoming Ekpolo to the club.

Ekpolo completes the move to Apollon Limassol, bringing an end to the speculation surrounding his future in the January window.
The defender is a journeyman having played for several clubs so far in his career, including FC Barcelona at youth level where he started his career in 2011 and stayed till 2016.
Ekpolo joined Fleetwood Town in England after leaving Barcelona as a free agent and then moved back to Spain two years later to play with Merida AD in the lower leagues.

Ekpolo is primarily a right fullback but can also feature as a central defender making him a utility player in defensive areas.
He wasborn on14 May 1995 in Nigeria to Nigerian parents making him eligible to represent the Super Eagles internationally.
Ekpolo moved with his family to Spain from Nigeria in 2002 and settled in Tarragona. He came through the youth team at FC Barcelona, played for the reserve team and captained the under-21 team, before he was released in June 2016.
