Nigeria’s Head Coach, Nduka Ugbade, has acknowledged that his squad has a lot of work ahead of them in the Africa U-17 Cup of Nations.
He noted that every team would be extremely motivated to defeat the five-time world champions and put in additional effort.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference ahead of the Golden Eaglets’ clash with Zambia, the former FIFA Cadet World Cup-winning captain minced no words in saying that Nigeria is under pressure.
He said, "We are under pressure. We know that every team wants to beat Nigeria. I am not so much interested in the trophy as in the development of the players, and the beauty of the game.
"These are young players. You can never say after all your preparations what comes next because you are playing technically, and tactically, and also have to consider the psychological discipline of the players. We want the players to be disciplined to go for 90 minutes to emerge victorious.
