Defending champions Gor Mahia will look to pick up the pace in their title defense against FC Talanta while Shabana aim to get back to winning ways after Saturdays' loss to 10-man Kakamega Homeboyz.

A total of three matches will be played across the FKF Premier League (FKFPL) on Wednesday with defending champions Gor Mahia aiming to continue their resurgence when they face FC Talanta in a rescheduled fixture at Dandora Stadium on Wednesday.

K’Ogalo, under interim coach Zedekiah 'Zico' Otieno, appear to have steadied their ship after a rocky start to the season that led to the sacking of Brazilian head coach Leonardo Neiva.

Back-to-back 2-0 victories against Kakamega Homeboyz and Mara Sugar have lifted the spirits of the 21-time champions.

Gor Mahia are currently 6th on the table with 14 points from eight matches, boasting four wins, two losses, and two draws.

On the other hand, FC Talanta will be desperate to escape the relegation zone. The 16th-placed side has struggled for form, managing just one win in their last five matches.

Their latest triumph saw Austin Odhiambo and Gedeon Bendeka deliver late strikes to seal three points in an away win over Mara Sugar.

Their most recent outing ended in a frustrating goalless draw against a 10-man Posta Rangers at Machakos Stadium.

With two wins, four draws, and three losses in nine matches, Talanta will hope to revive their fortunes against a surging Gor Mahia side.

Shaban vs Posta Rangers

At Gusii Stadium, Shabana will seek redemption after a disappointing 2-0 loss to Kakamega Homeboyz despite having a numerical advantage for much of the game.

Moses Shumah and Glen Otunga’s first-half goals condemned Shabana to their first defeat in four matches, ending a promising three-game winning streak.

The Glamour Boys will look to bounce back against a struggling Posta Rangers side that sits in the relegation zone.

The Mailers, who secured a goalless draw against FC Talanta despite being reduced to 10 men, have registered only one win in their last six matches and are in dire need of points.

Police vs Nairobi City Stars

Meanwhile, Police FC will host Nairobi City Stars at Dandora Stadium as they seek their first win under new head coach Etienne Ndayiragije.

The Law Enforcers are on a five-match winless streak and urgently need to find form to climb the standings.

Their opponents, Nairobi City Stars, have had a mixed start to the season, with three wins, two draws, and five losses leaving them 15th with 11 points.

The midweek fixtures promise an exciting mix of action, with teams fighting to improve their league standings as the season gains momentum.
