Kenyan fans have called on the unwanted AC Milan striker to consider signing for Gor Mahia even as clubs in Europe, America, and Middle East monitor his situation.
A section of Gor Mahia fans have urged Belgian striker Divock Origi to consider signing for K’Ogalo as he looks for a new club following his release by Premier League side Nottingham Forest.
The striker has returned to his parent club AC Milan where he was already surplus to requirements one year ago, necessitating the loan move to Forest, and even with two years still remaining on his contract, the Serie A giants are still not interested in retaining him.
It means the 29-year-old will need to find a new home ahead of next season with clubs in Europe, America, and the Middle East among those monitoring his situation, but even though it is not likely to happen, K’Ogalo fans are still keeping their hopes high.
“Join Gor Mahia on loan from AC Milan,” claimed one Gor Mahia fan with another one adding: “It is not a bad idea joining Gor Mahia FC.”

Divock Origi finds himself at crossroads again following his release by Nottingham Forest with his parent club AC Milan not interested in retaining him.
“He should come back home to Kenya and play for Gor Mahia FC,” said a K’Ogalo fan who wants to see the Belgian playing in Kenya.
“Gor Mahia is calling. Come and win the league. [Ambrose] Rachier bring our son back home,” another one urged club chairman Ambrose Rachier to try and lure the striker to K’Ogalo.
With Origi’s uncle Austin Oduor having played for Gor Mahia, some K’Ogalo fans feel it would be fitting for him to also don the famous green jersey.
“Gor is a club that his uncle played for. Come back to your ancestors land and you will enjoy,” enthused another Gor Mahia fan.

Gor Mahia fans’ sentiments stem from the fact that Origi is the son of former Harambee Stars striker Mike Okoth, while he also comes from a football family that produced K’Ogalo legend Oduor, popularly known as Makamu, whose son Arnold Origi was Kenya’s first-choice goalkeeper for over 10 years.
However, while Gor Mahia fans would like to see Origi in his father’s country, that is unlikely to happen with the 29-year-old likely to attract interest from Europe, America, and the Middle East.
A number of Kenyan fans feel the former Liverpool forward is still good enough to play in Europe.
“He is very young, he will definitely come back strong. There's still some Spanish team who could use his services,” commented one fan.

Origi has struggled to make an impression since returning to Premier League football by way of Nottingham Forest last September.
Origi joined Milan as a free agent in the summer of 2022 and was handed a four-year contract worth €4 million per season, but after two goals in 36 matches across all competitions in his first season, the Rossoneri lost patience.
A loan move to Forest followed but he became a bit-part player at the Premier League club, managing one goal in 22 matches in all competitions, before he was released this month.
