Omala and Sibomana headline high player ratings for Gor Mahia players as they storm to victory over AFC Leopards.

On Saturday afternoon, Gor Mahia managed to exert revenge on their sworn rivals AFC Leopards to give them a well deserved 2-0 victory and keep their league hopes alive.

The players who donned the green jersey put smiles on the faces of their fans at full time, and there were plenty of good performances by the team in general.

Ahead of the international break, the players will be full of confidence and proud of their performances, which could play a key part in determining the outcome of the league come May next year.

Here are the Gor Mahia players’ player ratings by Pulse Sports:

Kevin Omondi -7

Omondi generally looked assured between the sticks and was not really troubled, although he did make an excellent save from a free kick attempted in the dying minutes of the match.

Onyango Rooney -7

Justified why he is keeping veterans like Philemon Otieno out of the side. He did not really bomb up and down the pitch, but he generally dealt well with Cliff Nyakeya’s threat down the left flank

Ochieng Geoffrey- 7

Captaining the side on the day, Geoffrey Ochieng’ held his own. He bombed up and down the flank and constantly gave his left winger an option to drift narrow.

Bayisenge Emery- 8

The Ugandan looked solid as a rock and dealt well with the areal balls that AFC Leopards players were attempting to whip in.

Kennedy Onyango-8

Kennedy Onyango did well dealing with areal balls that were whipped towards him alongside Bayisenge and helped keep a clean sheet.

Kevin Juma-8

Kevin Juma is quickly becoming a fans favorite at K’ogalo. The former Nzoia Sugar midfielder provided energy and presence without the ball and controlled the tempo of the game with it.

Lawrence Juma- 7

Lawrence Juma held his own, partnering his namesake in midfield, and he was involved in the build up to the first of Omala’s two goals on the day.

Rodgers Mugisha- 7

The Ugandan prodigy did fairly well on both flanks as he constantly interchanged with Rwandan Patrick Sibomana, and helped stretch the Leopards defense.

Benson Omala-10

Benson Omala produced a complete performance against Leopards. Not only did he score two goals, his off the ball movement was a constant threat to the

Austin Odhiambo-8

By Odhiambo;s high standards, it was an okay performance that was even capped off with an assist as one of the players to make a real difference. However, he did not really influence the game as he is capable of which prevents him from getting a 9.

Patrick Sibomana-8

The Rwandeese was a constant threat throughout, giving AFC Leopards fullbacks Randy Bakari and Vincent Mahiga all sorts of problems.

He dribbled his way through the Leopards defense before passing the ball to Benson Omala who could hardly miss and had a good afternoon in general

Substitutes:

Alpha Oyango-6
