Gor Mahia coach Johnathan McKinstry might be forced to do without three of his key players with games against Shabana and Kenya Police lined up in four days
Gor Mahia head coach Johnathan McKinstry is sweating over the piling injury list ahead of a crucial week when his side have two games in four days.
McKinstry, whose side were held to a goalless draw by Bidco United on Saturday, ended the game without two of his key players when Rwandan forward Patrick Sibomana and Ugandan midfielder Rodgers Mugisha went off injured.
The two look set to miss Wednesday’s encounter against struggling Shabana which will be a blow to K’Ogalo who will also be without Rwandan defender Emery Bayisenge.

FKFPL Jonathan McKinstry regrets tactical decision in Gor Mahia's draw against spirited Bidco
The K’Ogalo tactician has regretted not making a tactical decision in his side’s 0-0 draw with Bidco after beating sworn rivals AFC Leopards and Tusker in the games beforehand.
“Patrick Sibomana, you could see him when he whipped a cross in earlier he felt a little tweak in his back so it was not like his groin or hamstring but he felt he could not strike the ball so we felt it was better to bring him off,” McKinstry explained after Saturday’s match.
“Rodgers looks like a hamstring, we will have that assessed and we send the boy our best of wishes but hopefully it won’t be too long.”
It is not the news K’Ogalo fans would like to hear with Gor set to face Kenya Police on Sunday.
The pile up of injuries at a time the games are starting to build up will stretch McKinstry’s squad to the limit with some of his fringe players needed to step up to the plate.
Gor Mahia will hope to have veteran midfielder Ernest Wendo back on Wednesday after going down with flu in the lead-up to the match with Bidco.
K’Ogalo will be seeking a return to winning ways after being frustrated by Bidco who ended their two-game winning run.

FKFPL Gor Mahia coach McKinstry explains why draw against Bidco was a 'fair result'
Gor Mahia huffed and puffed but could not find a way to break down Bidco’s mean defence but their coach expressed his satisfaction with the outcome
With leaders Posta Rangers opening up a three-point lead, Gor can ill afford to slip up further even this early in the season, and will feel Shabana, who were thrashed 4-0 by Ulinzi Stars on Saturday, are the perfect opponents to collect maximum points from.
