The Harambee Stars striker is mourning the loss of his mother
Al Jabalain teammates have rallied their support for Kenyan striker Masud Juma, who is a doubt for Harambee Stars’ international friendly fixtures against Qatar and South Sudan this September as he is mourning the death of his mother.
The former Kariobangi Sharks forward, who missed the last international assignment in June after picking up an injury, was named in Engin Firat’s provisional 25-man squad for the upcoming games scheduled to take place on September 7 and 12 respectively.
In a statement posted on the club’s social media handles, the club sent its condolences to the Kenyan international.

Juma has sealed a permanent move to Al Jabain after a successful stint at Al Faisaly last season.
“Our sincere condolences and sympathy to the Kenyan first team player, Juma Masoud, on the death of his mother,” the statement read.
Teammates were also pictured holding his jersey after the side drew 3-3 with Al-Arabi on Monday evening.

The Kenyan midfielder was a 65th minute substitute as 10-man Aalborg thrashed Hillerod 3-0 in the Danish second division on Sunday.
Juma is yet to feature for his new club, having joined on a permanent basis from Moroccan side Difaa El Jadida after an impressive loan spell at fellow Saudi Arabian side Al Faisaly.
The former Kariobangi Sharks, JS Kabyliye and Cape Town City striker spent the second half of last season on loan at another Saudi club Al Faisaly, where he scored eight times in 13 appearances with The Burgundy.
He made his mark at Kariobangi Sharks during the 2017/2018 season where he emerged the Kenyan Premier League top scorer with 23 goals, which earned him a move to Benni McArthy’s Cape Town.
In four appearances, he scored just one goal. He also had brief stints at UAE side Dibba Al Furajiah and Libya's Al Nasr, before joining Algerian side JS Kabylie. After that, he moved to Morocco before joining Saudi Arabia.
Since turning professional, it is his stint at Saudi that has turned out to be most successful so far, so it is not surprising that he has opted to move to the country on a permanent basis following the expiry of his contract with Diffa.
