Harambee Stars coach Engin Firat has gone for an all-out attack against Qatar in Thursday's friendly match.
Harambee Stars head coach Engin Firat has gone for an attacking line-up against Qatar after fielding three strikers in his starting XI.
Captain Michael Olunga will lead the line alongside Masoud Juma of Al-Jabalain while Elvis Rupia, who recently ditched Kenya Police for Singida Fountain Gate in Tanzania, is also starting.
It is an experienced forward line which points to an all-out attack for Kenya and it will be supported by a three-man midfield of Richard Odada, Anthony Akumu and Kenneth Muguna.
Firat has kept faith in KCB goalkeeper Bryne Odhiambo while Johnstone Omurwa will partner Joseph Okumu in central defence as Daniel Anyembe plays at right-back while Eric ‘Marcelo’ Ouma starts at left-back.

FOOTBALL Firat reveals why Gor Mahia creative hub Austin Odhiambo did not travel to Qatar
Odhiambo did not travel to Qatar but could still earn a debut cap in Stars’ next game against South Sudan in Nairobi on September 12.
Kenya are looking for a positive result in the first of their two friendly matches this month after their last assignment ended in a 1-0 loss to Mauritius in the four-nations tournament in June.
Firat was widely criticised for employing a conservative approach at the tournament which Kenya only managed to score one goal at which could have perhaps informed his decision to start with three strikers.
