The veteran Kenyan international is set for his sixth Belgian club after completing the move
Harambee Stars midfielder Johanna Omolo has sealed a move to Belgian second division side KV Oostende on a year-long contract.
Omolo, who was part of the team that represented Harambee Stars at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, scoring one goal in their famous 3-2 win over Tanzania, will be playing for a sixth Belgian club in his career, having also played for Germinal Beerschot, Lommel, Royal Antwerp, Cercle and Visé.

The Harambee Stars defender will face the former Chelsea striker as Stade de Reims open their French top flight campaign away to Marseille
Oostende sporting director Nils Vanneste will be hoping that the experience of Omolo, 34, will help the young players at the club learn the ropes of first-team football faster.
“In the position of defensive midfielder, we could certainly use someone else, also knowing that Alfons Amade, Sieben Dewaele and Vincent Koziello are still out,” Vanneste told the club’s official website.
“Then the options in that position are already limited. If you can bring in an experienced man with the right mentality, you shouldn't hesitate. In our group, he (Omolo) can be a guide for the many youngsters and during his test period last week, he showed that he is still very enthusiastic on the field.

FOOTBALL AFC Leopards boss confident of clearing pending payments as Ingwe face prospect of being locked out of Premier League
Leopards must give a clear plan of how they will pay money owed to former coach Patrick Aussems by today or risk getting relegated from the top flight
“Our coach has worked with him before and is also extremely positive. As mentioned earlier, an extra attacker and a creative midfielder are now firmly noted to attract. I hope to be able to finalise at least one more file soon.”
Omolo is no stranger to Belgium. He started his career in the country at Visé in 2007 and also played for the club a second time last season.
He has played 45 matches in the first division and another 140 times in the second division. He has also had stints in Turkey and Luxembourg.
His experience will surely be decisive if Oostende are to earn promotion to the Belgian Pro League at the end of the season.
