Harambee Stars striker emerged unscathed from a severe car accident just hours before a crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

Harambee Stars striker Masud Juma experienced a terrifying incident on Tuesday when he was involved in a severe car accident fortunately escaping without any injuries.

The accident occurred on an unnamed road in Kenya, where Juma's brand new Mercedes Benz suffered significant damage to the front.

Despite the shocking event, Juma assured his fans of his safety through a post on his Instagram account.

In the post, Juma shared a photo of the wrecked vehicle without disclosing how the accident occurred.

"It was a scary one but Alhamdulillah, I am fine. Long way to go. I think I am still needed," he wrote.

Attempts to reach Juma directly were unsuccessful, but his social media update provided some reassurance to his followers and teammates.

The accident happened just hours before the Harambee Stars faced Ivory Coast in a match at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe, Malawi.

Although Juma was not part of the squad for the Tuesday afternoon game, his presence was undoubtedly missed.

The talented striker, currently with Saudi Arabian Division One side Al Jabalain, has been out of action due to a challenging recovery process from a severe Achilles tendon injury sustained at the end of January while playing for his club.

This injury has not only sidelined him for several weeks but also required surgery, causing him to miss significant fixtures including the four-nation tournament in Malawi where Kenya emerged victorious, and a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Botswana which ended in a 1-1 draw.
