The Three Lions captain has highlighted the benefits of Tuchel’s appointment.

England captain Harry Kane has expressed his confidence in incoming manager Thomas Tuchel, predicting he will bring a much-needed "injection of energy" to the national team.

Tuchel, who will officially take charge in January, is set to lead England into their first match in March.

What Kane said about Tuchel

Kane, who played under the German at Bayern Munich last season, highlighted the German's motivational skills and tactical acumen.

“I think he will understand the assignment and understand that a big part of it will be him bringing energy to the squad,” said Kane as per the Athletic. “I’m hoping that come March it will be a real injection of energy to lead us up to the World Cup.”

Despite Tuchel's reputation for being demanding and confrontational, the striker believes his direct approach and attention to detail will benefit the squad, particularly in the high-pressure environment of international tournaments.

“He is really disciplined in what he wants, and he won’t shy away from confrontation if need be,” Kane acknowledged, adding that Tuchel's style may not be universally loved but ultimately serves to achieve his vision for the team.

Kane also drew attention to Tuchel's tactical prowess, referencing Bayern Munich's near-miss in last season's Champions League, where they were narrowly eliminated by Real Madrid.

He believes Tuchel's tactical approach is well-suited to tournament football.

“Maybe his playing style suits tournament football,” Kane said. “It suited us in the Champions League last year, we were a few minutes from reaching the final.

"The way he sets up, the way he thinks about the little details in the games can have a big difference.”

What next for England?

England will conclude their Nations League campaign under interim coach Lee Carsley on Sunday against the Republic of Ireland. A win would secure their promotion back to League A.
