Turkish pundit Cem Dizdar has claimed that Gabriel Sara’s performance is not recognised enough due to Victor Osimhen’s scoring form.

Osimhen joined Galatasaray on loan from Napoli during the summer transfer window and has been exceptional for the Turkish side.

The Super Eagles star has been on a scoring spree since his move, racking up 12 goals and five assists in 15 matches across all competitions.

He has become a fan favourite and Galatasaray’s important player as the team challenges for the title.

What Dizdar said about Sara

HT Spor analyst Dizdar has questioned the discrepancy in recognition between the two players in statements via Habersarikirmizi.

He said, "Everyone talks about Victor Osimhen scoring too many goals, but why doesn't anyone talk about Gabriel Sara's assists?

"Because Victor Osimhen is a showcase player, we only praise him. Gabriel Sara made such crosses in the Beşiktaş match that it was literally a pinpoint hit.

"He contributed two assists. At the beginning of the season, everyone was prejudiced because of the money he was paid and because he came from the Championship.”

Sara, on the other hand, has quietly provided two goals and six assists in 15 league games since joining Galatasaray from Norwich City in England.

However, he hasn't gotten the same amount of recognition despite his significant contributions, especially his inventiveness and accuracy in providing assists.

The analyst asked for a more fair evaluation of both players, highlighting the crucial role Sara has played in Galatasaray's season thus far, even though Osimhen continues to garner attention as one of Africa's most intriguing forwards in Europe.
