Fenerbahce boss Jose Mourinho has addressed the rumours that linked Cristiano Ronaldo with a sensational move to join the Turkish-based side.
The 39-year-old left European football, seemingly never to return in the winter transfer window of 2023. However, reports from the last few days have posited that a move to Fenerbahce was on the cards.

What Mourinho said
Following a triumphant return from the international break, with his team 6-2 victors over Kayserispor, Mourinho paid some attention to the rumours that claimed he could become Ronaldo's coach once again after the Portuguese nationals have previously shared a dressing room at Real Madrid.
Mourinho immediately poured cold water on the rumours. He was not willing to give it air, as he immediately deemed it ridiculous.
"News about Cristiano Ronaldo to Fenerbahçe are ridiculous,” he told reporters, per Fabrizio Romano.
"Cristiano might come to Istanbul to eat because it's right in the middle of the road between Saudi and Portugal. Or maybe he'll come see his old friend Jose, we can eat at my hotel!".
The 63-year-old does not see a future in which Cristiano joins the Yellow Canaries, but Fenerbahce are not the only club he can join, and the rumours of a future outside Al Nassr will not stop soon, as his contract with the Faris Najd expires next summer.
