Nigerian national team head coach weighed in on the reports that claim Tosin Adarabioyo is set to switch allegiance to the Super Eagles.
Super Eagles interim boss Austin Eguavoen has recently addressed the speculations that Chelsea centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo is prepared to switch his allegiance from England to representing the Nigerian national team.
The 27-year-old centre-back was born in England to Nigerian parents; hence, he is of both nationalities and is eligible to represent the Three Lions and the Super Eagles.

Adarabioyo linked to Nigerian national team
Tosin grew up in England and has represented the British nation across various age grades. However, he has yet to score a senior team call-up.
He had a remarkable season for Fulham last season, which earned him a move to Chelsea this summer; however, it was now enough to book him a slot on Gareth Southgate’s Euros squad.
What Eguavoen said
Eguavoen, who is in charge of the Super Eagles until a permanent coach has been hired recently addressed the rumours, and he confirmed to reporters that the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) were monitoring him.
“I didn’t speak with Tosin, but he’s a good player,” Eguavoen told Premium Times. “He’s one of the players we’re monitoring. Every Nigerian playing worldwide has the right to play for Nigeria, including Tosin.”
Meanwhile, Eguavoen is set to lead the Super Eagles through a double-header AFCON qualifier clash against Libya in two weeks.
