Mikel Arteta hailed Bukayo Saka's match-winning contribution after the 23-year-old inspired Arsenal's 3-1 comeback victory over Southampton.

Bukayo Saka was at his creative best, setting up goals for Kai Havertz and Gabriel Martinelli, to take his assist tally for the season to seven.

He then sealed the win over Southampton with a clinical finish.

The absence of injured Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard has allowed Saka to take on more creative responsibility and it is paying dividends.

"Bukayo has taken another step up this season," Arteta said.

"That's the maturity and that's the steps that players have to do. He has been long enough in the team now, he has the right to have that role.

"He believes in that, that he can change games, to decide games, like many other players, and he wants to be at the top," Arteta added.

"Sometimes players have to create those moments, and he's certainly done that today again."

Saka was crucial in the Champions League win against PSG and continued from where he left off, highlighting his incredible consistency.

"I think it's another step ahead, and it's what he wants," Arteta concluded.
