Lamine Yamal: World's hottest youngster

Aged only 17, Yamal is already regarded as one of the best players in the world, and his performance in the last year earned him a Ballon d'Or nomination—the youngest in history, deposing Kylian Mbappe.

He became an important player for Barcelona last season, and in the summer, he started six of Spain's seven games to glory in the European Championship.

He carried on that form into the season for Barcelona and has been one of the top performers in the Spanish top flight, bagging the the October Player of the Month award.

Speaking about the 17-year-old in a conversation with The Inside Scoop podcast, Real Madrid's centre-back acknowledged Yamal's abilities, stating that his potential is scary.

What Rudiger said

"You have to give credit where credit is due,” the Germany international said. "He is 17, it's ridiculous. The player he is already for them [Barça] at 17, it's quite scary. What he did in the Euros, you have to give kudos to him. He has a great future ahead.

"I think they [Barça] have a player who has a [big] career and hopefully he will stay healthy."

Meanwhile, Lamine Yamal’s father, Mounir Nasraoui, has recently compared his son to the late great Diego Armando Maradona, underscoring the pride he has in his youngster.
