The Red Devils enjoyed a sustained spell of possession, but the Reds wrestled bad dominance. Arne Slot's side found the opener in the 35th minute thanks to an accurately delivered cross from Salah, which was headed into a vacated goal by Luis Diaz.
The Colombian doubled his and Liverpool's tally seven minutes later, combining with Salah again, and he got on the end of the Egyptian’s cutback before side-footing home.
