Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has delivered an injury update ahead of the Gunner's clash against Brighton this weekend.
Mikel Arteta has offered the latest update on the fitness of Raheem Sterling, Ben White, and Takehiro Tomiyasu as Arsenal prepare to face Brighton in the Premier League on Saturday.
Arteta's side are in fine form after starting 2025 with a 3-1 win over Brentford, which lifted them to second in the table, six points behind leaders Liverpool.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Arteta provided the following updates on the trio:
"I think he [Sterling] is starting to do some stuff on the pitch. Let's see how he progresses next week."
Regarding Ben White, Arteta said: "Ben is not available, he is still a few weeks away."
As for Takehiro Tomiyasu, Arteta noted: "Tomi has done some stuff on the pitch, it's been a long-term injury, and now we will see how he reacts."
The Gunners will hope to get all three points this weekend, cutting the gap on Liverpool before Arne Slot's men face Manchester United on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Arteta has reportedly abandoned his pursuit of Victor Osimhen to chase RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko.
