Former NFF Technical Director Barrister Chris Green believes that Eric Chelle, the Super Eagles' new coach, will be successful.
Since the dismissal of Finidi George, the Super Eagles’ World Cup qualifying matches in June 2024, the Nigerian national team has been without a permanent head coach.
Under Augustine Eguavoen's leadership, the three-time AFCON champions have advanced to the AFCON 2025 tournament in Morocco.
However, he has been replaced by Chelle, who was named the new head coach of the Super Eagles.

Green tips Chelle to succeed
Green has urged the NFF to create an atmosphere that will enable the Malian to bring out the best in the Nigerian players in support of the new coach.
According to Brila, he said, “Since the NFF has announced him, I hope they’ve also arranged the environment he will work in so that he can thrive and qualify us for the next World Cup.
“We have the talents, but we don’t know the mentality of the players, the discipline in the team, and the suitability of the coach to the Super Eagles.”
Chelle will take charge of the Super Eagles World Cup qualifying campaign when it resumes in March.
Nigeria will travel to face Rwanda, before welcoming Zimbabwe to the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium three days later.
