However,  as the two tied 0-0 at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, last Friday,  the fans, according to Mubiru, were fully behind the team and made him feel "secure."

Prior to their previous game against BUL FC, KCCA FC head coach Abdallah Mubiru was utterly furious with the club's fans for their continuous jibes and verbal attacks to their own players.

However,  as the two tied 0-0 at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, last Friday,  the fans, according to Mubiru, were fully behind the team and made him feel "secure."

"I'm so grateful to our fans, and I don't know the kind of words I can use," Mubiru told the club media.

"Because for the first time in a very long time, I felt somehow secure and proud of working for KCCA during that game against BUL."

"Everyone was behind the team, they gave us all the support they could give. Unfortunately, we couldn't give them the happiness they deserved, so we are fighting so hard to pay them back."

The thirteen-time Uganda Premier League champions take on historical nemesis Express FC in the Kampala derby on Saturday at the Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.

"Its another big game. If you follow the history of the league, its a game where winning three points is an understatement. It's more than that," Mubiru said.

"So, we go into the game to fight for so many things. Its (Express) a very big team, but we're prepared. "

“Signing for the senior team is every academy player’s dream, and I’m thrilled to be living it. Despite the abundance of talent in the academy, being selected and securing my senior contract is an incredible feeling," Niwamanya told the club media.

Express smiled to a 2-1 victory in the first half of the campaign, thanks to goals from Derrick Ngoobi and Isaac Wagoina. Muhammad Shaban netted KCCA's consolation.
