Super Eagles duo of Alex Iwobi, Calvin Bassey and their Fulham teammates were denied all three points at home by Bournemouth.

Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey played prominent roles for Fulham as they were held to a thrilling 2-2 draw by Bournemouth at Craven Cottage. 

Although Fulham extended their unbeaten run to seven matches, they were unable to secure back-to-back victories.

The match began with Fulham taking the lead against the run of play. Raul Jimenez found space in the box during a corner routine, completely unmarked after Milos Kerkez lost track of him. 

The Mexican forward turned and powered a backward header into the net, giving the visitors an early advantage. Despite Bournemouth dominating possession and creating numerous chances, Fulham went into halftime with a 1-0 lead.

The match showed both teams' pace and fearless attacking play, making for an exciting contest.

The second half saw Bournemouth ramping up the pressure and it paid off when record signing Evanilson levelled the score. A perfectly placed ball over the top from James Hill found Evanilson, who managed to shin the ball over Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno, leveling the score and igniting the home crowd.

Kepa and the Cherries defence came up big with multiple goal-line clearances, keeping Fulham from extending their lead. Dango Ouattara’s pitch-long clearance set up a chance for Evanilson, whose shot forced a save from Leno.

Bournemouth remained relentless, and Anthony Semenyo's quick interplay with Ouattara led to another excellent opportunity for Philip Billing, whose left-footed effort was just saved in time by Leno.

Fulham’s Harry Wilson then emerged as a key player, scoring with a superb header after receiving a cross from Antonee Robinson, placing it brilliantly into the top right corner out of Kepa's reach to restore Fulham’s lead.

However, the drama escalated when an unfortunate passage of play allowed Bournemouth to equalise late on. Issa Diop's pass found Antoine Semenyo, whose attempt to shoot saw the ball deflect perfectly into the path of Dango Ouattara.

The winger coolly chipped Leno to secure a vital point for Bournemouth. Both teams pressed for a winner in the closing moments, but the match ended in a hard-fought draw. 

Fulham's manager Marco Silva remains undefeated at home against Bournemouth in the Premier League, while both sides will look to carry their impressive unbeaten runs into the new year.
