Orji dreams of an NWFL podium goal against Osun Babes on matchday seven.
The Heartland Queens’ winger, Chinwendu Orji, has promised to grab the headlines with her television goal against visitors Osun Babes.
Heart Queen will host Dan Anyim's stadium in Imo state in one of the matchday seven clashes in Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL).
Orji scored her first goal of the season against Royal Queens in Sapele last Wednesday.
The petite finisher delivered the whole points to the Owerri side with her exemplary 40th-minute television goal.
Orji aimed for golden boot
Orji said she will soon be announced on the goal chart despite her apparent late arrival with a solo in the kitty.
“I thanked God for the winning goal in Sapele, God granted me my heart desires and gave us victory.
“And Wednesday against Osun Babes, I’m promising the Imolites, teeming supporters that I will score again and play well to ensure we claim the three points at stake.
She added she will score goals that will put smiles on the people of Imo state.
“My goal will surely put smiles on the faces of the entire Imolites, and I will be announced and given the podium salute. I always wanted to score in all matches, I was brought to Heartland Queens.
“Though it took up to matchday 6 for the lone goal to come, it’s somehow a bit late in arriving but I’m going to make it up as the league progresses. I will contest for the topmost goal chart award by the time the league wings up,” she said
The former Edo Queens goal poacher said she is not worried about the threat the opponents will bring to the table.
“I’m not worried, I am not afraid of any team, and mine is to score goals and for us to win our matches,” said Orji.
Heartland Queens are fifth on the seven-team log with five points.
