Robbie Savage has told Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim to persist with his utilisation of one player after Thursday's performance in Bucharest.
Former Manchester United youth player Robbie Savage has advised Ruben Amorim to continue playing Kobbie Mainoo in an advanced role after the teenager’s showing against Steaua Bucharest in the Europa League on Thursday.

Mainoo showed his versatility with an impressive performance in a more advanced role, with the 19-year-old scoring one goal and setting up another as United defeated FCSB 2-0.
Amorim praised the teenager’s performance after the game and hinted that he could be used similarly in the future.

Mainoo himself is happy to play wherever he is needed and is focused on helping the team succeed.
"It was definitely a tough game as we expected, a tough place to come, the atmosphere was really good," the youngster said. "Right now it is just important to keep on winning, build more and more wins and in this tournament we want to go as far as possible.

"So yeah, this is how it starts. I enjoyed it [playing in a more advanced role], I am just happy to be on the pitch for Manchester United, but wherever the manager needs me to play.
"Today it was higher up, and it turned out well, and I enjoyed it."
)
Former Wales midfielder believes that an advanced role suits Mainoo better than his shifts in deeper midfield, suggesting to Amorim to persist with the 19-year-old higher up the pitch.
"Kobbie Mainoo as a 10, I think that is his best position personally," said Savage "I think in those tight areas as a 10, I think that is where he is at his best.
"So again, it is solving the problems, three in a row and it is positivity for Manchester United, it was a good second half."
What next for Manchester United?
Amorim's men have won four of their last five in all competitions heading into Sunday's Premier League contest with Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.
Two points separate the clubs placed 12th and 13th, with success for Palace this weekend taking them above the Red Devils.
