"I felt that he had a huge impact at Aston Villa, mostly from the bench. The impact was impressive," Tuchel said at the conference.
He continued, "The physical impact was impressive and most importantly, his work rate, his defensive ability and tracking back was impressive," he added.
Tuchel believes that Rashford's selection for England is a well-deserved recognition of his hard work and dedication. He also hopes that the selection will motivate Rashford to continue performing at a high level.
"I had the strong feeling that we should nominate him, bring him in and to push him to stay on that level to not fall back on old routines," Tuchel said.
