Beckham and Brady turned up to watch the Championship clash between Birmingham and Wrexham.

Birmingham City snatched a headline-grabbing 3-1 win over Wrexham in a match that lived up to its ‘Hollywood derby’ billing.

All eyes were on the stands where football legend and Inter Miami president David Beckham, alongside his son Romeo, and NFL legend Tom Brady, alongside Wrexham co-owner Rob McElhenney, witnessed the drama unfold.

Beckham recently penned an emotional thank you note after seeing his Netflix documentary pick up a prize at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards.

The game featured a dazzling performance from Birmingham’s £15m summer signing, Jay Stansfield, who bagged a brace to secure the victory.

Wrexham’s early promise was on full display when Jack Marriott capitalized on a corner to put the visitors ahead.

However, Stansfield’s rebound goal equalized the score, showing why Birmingham invested heavily in him.

The 21-year-old English striker headed home a second to put Birmingham in front, and Tomoki Iwata’s thunderbolt from distance sealed the deal, despite Krystian Bielik’s late red card for Birmingham.

Tensions escalated towards the end of the match after Paul Mullin’s clash with Alex Cochrane.

The altercation, featuring James McClean in the thick of it, led to McClean being substituted amid raucous applause from the Birmingham crowd.

The match ended with Birmingham down a man but still comfortably ahead, handing Wrexham their first defeat of the season.

With both teams now on 13 points, the battle for supremacy is set to intensify.
