The striker is said to have attracted eyes, including Gor Mahia's, in the transfer window.
Kakamega Homeboyz chairman Cleophas Shimanyula has explained why they put a price tag of Ksh6 million on Moses Shummah.
Shummah was one of the breakthrough players last season, and given his output for Homeboyz in both the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) and the FKF Cup, a number of clubs are expected to inquire about his availability. However, there is a catch, as Shimanyula explains.

STADIA Sports Kenya reveal why CAF banned Kasarani, Nyayo as renovation tender calls are floated
The two facilities in Nairobi alongside Eldoret’s Kipchoge Keino are set for a major facelift in readiness for the 2027 tournament if EAC Pamoja Bid is successful.
"Do not look at the money; look at the value of the player he is now. Our valuation corresponds with his stature now, and given the resources and efforts together with the time we have invested in him, it means asking for Ksh6 million is just an appreciation of Shummah's real value in the market so far," Shimanyula said.
Initially, the Homeboyz chairman said FKF Premier League giants Gor Mahia were among the clubs interested in the fledgling forward. Shimanyula laid down his demands that K'Ogalo must meet if they have to purchase the striker.

‘Small team mentality’ - Former Gor Mahia coach blasts club leadership for shame of hosting CAF matches in Tanzania
The tactician feels successive regimes at K’Ogalo have lacked a long-term vision, leading to the embarrassment of playing home ties in neighbouring country
"I always like to see players enjoying doing what they want and having peace of mind. If indeed Shummah wants to leave Homeboyz, the door is wide open (for him to go), I will not stand in his way, but the only problem is who will be able to pay Ksh6m for his services?" he said.
"If Gor Mahia are seriously interested, then ask them to come with that Ksh6 million, otherwise, they should stop daydreaming and focus on the players they already have

FKFPL Ng’ang’a on how Gor Mahia can seal maiden CAF Champions League appearance
Ng’ang’a wants his teammates to look beyond just being dominant domestically and become a bigger force to be reckoned with in the Champions League.
"Can Gor Mahia afford Ksh6m for Shummah? I don’t think they have the money (unless they convene an urgent funds drive and maybe they cannot reach the target), they have been struggling to pay their players’ salaries and allowances, including the technical bench. What makes you think they can afford Shummah?"
Shummah is expected to be part of Homeboyz's preason squad, even though his future remains a subject of speculation.
