Arsenal's £35 million question: Why did Arteta sideline Fabio Vieira?
Arsenal's midfield star struggled with form and fitness, leading to limited game time despite a high transfer value.
This initiative marks the second community outreach this year by the group, following a previous visit to a children's home.
The decision to hold a blood donation drive was prompted by the urgent need to bolster the country's blood reserves, which are often depleted by emergencies, including frequent road accidents.
"The increase in road accidents has escalated the demand for blood transfusions. We initiated this blood drive to aid accident victims and others in urgent need of blood transfusions, aiming to save lives," Nkatha added.
The appeal for blood donation was not limited to football fans alone. Anthony Muriuki, the group's organizing secretary, encouraged all Kenyans to participate in the life-saving initiative.
Additionally, Martin Mwirigi, the Laboratory Manager of the blood bank at Meru Teaching and Referral Hospital, lauded the effort by the fans.
"It's crucial for people to donate blood every three to four months. This not only supports patients here but also aids other hospitals across the country," Mwirigi noted.
The blood donation event occurred just before Manchester United clinched a thrilling victory in the Emirates FA Cup, defeating Manchester City 2-1.
