Since its introduction in 2019, VAR has been marred by controversy, but Webb insists the technology is improving dramatically.

Howard Webb continues to back VAR
Speaking on the Stick to Football Podcast, Webb acknowledged that VAR's rollout was mishandled but believes this season has seen a massive improvement.
"I don't think we managed expectations well in terms of VAR," Webb said.
The PGMOL chief explained that VAR excels in clear-cut situations.
"We knew it was always going to be a situation where it was going to do well on those clear situations, the ones where you think, 'That's clearly wrong on first view'."
Webb revealed that an independent panel, comprising ex-players, reviews decisions weekly.
"There is an independent panel that reviews these things after games and according to the panel, there have only been two VAR errors this season compared to 10 at the same time last year," Webb concluded.
