Thiago Silva wore his heart on his sleeve as Chelsea suffered a devastating blow in their FA Cup semi-final clash against Manchester City.
Earlier this year, the centre-back admitted that his professional career was 'almost over.'
"I don't have anything scheduled for later, I'm just looking to have fun,' he told Hayters TV in January, when asked if he could end up returning to Brazil to finish his career.
"We know it's almost over, but it's not the end yet. So pick the right time. I'm still able to maintain a good performance, my numbers are good, and this gives me peace of mind to continue. Now, the future belongs to God."
