Ziyech's blunt assessment of his situation was revealed by the Turkish program Spor Gecesi, which reported that he made the comments while travelling from Istanbul to Amsterdam.
"Galatasaray is over for me, I've told them I'm leaving in January. They don't ask me anything any more, I do what I want. I've never seen a coach as bad as Okan Buruk. If Galatasaray win the title? I don't care... Leave me alone, whatever happens.
"I already regret coming. I should have left at the start of the season, but they didn't want me to. I'm leaving in January," Ziyech reportedly stated.
Following these statements, the Turkish newspaper Fanatik reported that Benfica has joined the list of clubs interested in acquiring Ziyech's services.
