Barcelona's defender established his importance to the club as he brushed aside rumours of a possible exit.
Barcelona defender Jules Kounde has addressed the reports suggesting his exit from the Catalan side is impending.
The 25-year-old joined Barcelona in the summer of 2022 and has been a stalwart in the club's defence. However, due to the club's financial situation, players in the squad with high market value who do not have the “untransferable” tag have been linked with a move away from the club, and Kounde falls in this category.

What Kounde said
The former Bordeaux defender is currently on international duty with France as they prepare to claim their first triumph in the Euros since the 2000 edition.
Speaking to reporters, Kounde explained that he is a key player in the Barcelona squad, suggesting that he does not consider leaving.
“I am one of Barça's key players, one of the leaders of the locker room and, above all, I am a reliable player,” he said, per Sport.
“That is perhaps one of the things I am most proud of. This season, apart from the time Gavi injured my knee when he accidentally bumped into me, I haven't had a single physical problem to complain about. I am very proud of it because it is the result of a lot of work.”
