England striker Harry Kane admitted to desiring a Ballon D'or.

Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has expressed his desire to win the Ballon d'Or, stating that it is one of the targets in his career.

The 31-year-old is one of the best footballers in the world, and last year, he won the European Golden Shoe for most goals on the continent. However, Bayern Munich’s lack of trophy success impacted his credibility for the Ballon d'Or, and he could only manage a 10th place finish.

What Kane said

In a recent interview with a French publication, the Bayern Munich star was honest with his ambitions, stating clearly that the magazine's coveted prize is something he aspires to.

Of course I'm thinking about it! And, why not say, I believe in it,” Kane told L’Equipe.

“I feel like my performances make me a credible candidate. I'm playing in teams, whether Bayern or England, that are natural contenders for big titles."

While the Ballon d'Or has eluded him so far, Kane is a big achiever in individual awards. He has won the golden boot in the Premier League, Bundesliga and World Cup. He is also the record scorer for Tottenham and the Three Lions.

However, he is yet to lift a major trophy in his career. As Pulse Sports reported, Kane is confident he will erase that blip in his story soon and retire with a packed trophy cabinet.
