Manchester United forward Antony has denied all assault allegations levelled against him during an appearance on Brazilian TV.

Antony’s ex-girlfriend recently made a police report about how the Manchester United forward abused her severally.

She also provided several pieces of evidence showing how she was assaulted by the Brazilian during their relationship.

However, Antony has defended himself on TV and has denied all allegations levelled against him by his ex-girlfriend.

Antony's TV interview

Man United star Antony granted Brazilian network SBT an interview and denied the assault allegations against him by his ex.

On the Brazilian network SBT, the 23-year-old striker said in Fofocalizando as reported by BBC, "the truth will come out".

When asked about abuse of women, he responded: "It's totally wrong, 100% wrong. I have a mother, a sister. I would never want this to happen to them."

He added: "It was difficult [being cut from the national team]. It made me really sad, because it's something that I'm 100% sure is not true.

“It's not easy, we work and fight to make our dreams come true, even more so when we wear the Brazilian team shirt."

He is also being investigated for additional assault claims made against him by a lady during an interview with a Brazilian TV station.

Police have begun an investigation into claims that his former partner was the victim of domestic violence.

Previously, Antony commented on Cavallin's allegations on social media, saying, ”The evidence already produced and the other evidence that will be produced demonstrate that I am innocent of the accusations made."

Meanwhile, Brazil has cut him from their squad after "facts became public" that "need to be investigated," while Manchester United indicated they were taking the allegations from Monday "seriously."

The latest allegations have not been addressed by the Red Devils, and it is unclear if Antony will be chosen for their upcoming match against Brighton on Saturday, September 16.
