The former Super Eagles boss and his team currently lead the league by two points after 17 matches, but Finidi has insisted that he is not getting carried away by the title race.
The 53-year-old appeared to have re-echoed the same sentiments as Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson, who cheekily said he doesn't look at the table and feigned ignorance of any title race despite Enzo Maresca's team being two points behind leaders Liverpool.

2022 NPFL champions Rivers United reclaimed top spot on Sunday following a 2-1 victory over Kwara United in Port Harcourt. This win, coupled with their closest rivals, Remo Stars, drawing 1-1 against Ikorodu City, propelled Finidi's team back to the summit.
Rivers United’s comeback victory against Kwara United was secured by two quick goals in the second half from Timothy Zechariah and David Benjamin, overturning a deficit.
