Muhoroni Youth chairman Moses Adagala has come to the defence of his team over allegations of hooliganism, comparing the claims to a ‘normal’ occurrence in Europe.
Muhoroni Youth chairman Moses Adagala has doubled down on the defence of his team over allegations of hooliganism leveled against them.
Muhoroni are in the eye of the storm yet again after Nairobi City Stars made a complaint over what they termed ill treatment of their team during last weekend’s FKF Premier League side at the Muhoroni grounds, popularly known as Got Alila.
City Stars lost the match 2-0 but club CEO Patrick Korir has claimed the result was not fair as his team was subject to a number of atrocities with their videographer denied entry into the match venue while their team doctor was roughed up.

City Stars goalkeeper blasts referees for "disgusting" officiating after defeat to Muhoroni Youth
Nairobi City Stars goalkeeper criticizes officiating after a controversial 2-0 defeat, voicing concerns over multiple aspects of the match environment.
“We are calling out the football injustices that continuously go on in Muhoroni. It is not a safe space for football to flourish. We ask the federation to act immediately,” Korir told The Star.
“Muhoroni scored two genuine goals — a penalty and a free kick — in either half. City Stars scored three headed goals from set pieces, one in the first half and two in the second half, but interestingly, all were called off.”
Adagala has, however, maintained his team’s innocence, terming the allegations politics and propaganda and has even pointed to the behaviour of football supporters in Europe to back his sentiments.
“This is UEFA Champions League. The scenes outside of Atlético vs Dortmund. Pale Got Alila fans wa Muhoroni wakikohowa kidogo unaskia bloggers kwa mtandao ndio hao goons wa Adagala [At Got Alila when fans cough a little you see bloggers online claiming those are Adagala’s goons]. I learn my things from Europe,” Adagala posted online in reference to Atletico Madrid fans who had lit flares outside their stadium as Los Colchoneros faced Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday.
It is the second Muhoroni match marred by claims of hooliganism this season after their fans and Shabana supporters clashed at the Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay when the two sides faced off in January.
Following City Stars complaints, Shabana have been calling for their match against Muhoroni this weekend to be moved from Muhoroni.

FOOTBALL Shabana, Muhoroni Youth clash marred by hooliganism as Tore Bobe record increased attendance [VIDEO]
A section of some Shabana fans went home nursing injuries following incidents of hooliganism during their FKFPL clash with Muhoroni Youth even as the club recorded increased revenue
Muhoroni were last season sanctioned over claims of hooliganism that marred their match against KCB and were ordered to play five home matches without fans although the decision was later rescinded.
That season had also seen a section of their supporters clash with their Gor Mahia counterparts at the same venue earlier in the season.
