Alex Iwobi netted during a 15-minute blitz for Fulham as the Cottagers snapped Liverpool’s unbeaten away run in the Premier League.

Iwobi praised by 1998 World Cup winner

Iwobi, who notched his eighth Premier League goal this term, took his overall tally to 30. 

The versatile midfielder has also assisted 34 goals in his Premier League career, becoming the first Nigerian to score 30 times and set up 30 goals or more

Iwobi's performance pleased French World Cup-winning defender Frank Leboeuf, who praised the 28-year-old's showing against Liverpool.

“Iwobi...Iwobi is a fantastic player. I love that guy,” said Leboeuf on ESPN.

Sunday's win saw Fulham rise to eighth in the Premier League table, leapfrogging Brighton & Hove Albion.

Marco Silva's men are five points behind fourth-placed Chelsea and four adrift of outgoing champions Manchester City with seven games to play.

Fulham are next in Premier League action at Bournemouth on Monday, April 14 before hosting Chelsea on April 20.
