Aina speaks about his goal
Aina was on media responsibilities soon after Nottingham Forest defeated West Ham in a thrilling match thanks to his incredible goal.
Speaking to Optus Sport, Aina said, "Sometimes it comes out. I like to surprise everyone, just bounced up right and then I was knackered anyway so I just thought I might as well hit it.”
Ola Aina added that when the ball left his feet, he anticipated the strike to go staring in the top corner.
The defender forced his way through and then sent a shot into the top corner from the edge of the penalty area to make it game over in minute 78.
Aina gave the Hammers two or three chances to get the ball, but they failed to do so, and the Nigerian international thundered the ball into the net, making them pay for their defensive shortcomings.
