Toni Payne, the midfielder for the Super Falcons, has disclosed the profound meaning behind her favourite tattoo.
The Super Falcons star recently joined Everton in the England Women's Super League after a spectacular six-year career with Sevilla in Spain's Liga F, where she scored 30 goals in 169 appearances.
The new Everton signing has also been one of the Super Falcon's star players since pledging her allegiance to Nigeria and has played 24 times for the team
She was an important part of the Super Falcons' campaign for the 2024 Olympic Games and the FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

Payne explained the significance of the ink in an exclusive conversation with ESPN Africa. She said, "My favourite one is the shape of Nigeria. I love this one.
"Growing up and being born in the US, I didn't always feel connected to the Nigerian culture, but since joining the national team and being able to go back to Nigeria often, I've been able to connect in that way.

"So, I just love to have it, and no one can question where I'm from; they don't even have to ask, they can see.”
Payne firmly established her ties to Nigeria and its people by displaying her Nigerian heritage through her tattoo.
She acknowledged that she didn't always have a connection to her Nigerian roots, but that has changed since she joined the national team and started travelling to Nigeria frequently.
